On average, from a 250-300 lb hog, a person can expect to have approximately 150-180 pounds of meat in their freezer after processing. This is a rough estimate and can vary based on factors like the hog's specific size, fat content, and how it's butchered. Here's a general breakdown of what you might find in your freezer:

1. Bacon 10-15 pkg

2. Chops 20-25 pkg

3. Hams 30-40 pounds (fresh and cured/ham steaks)

4. Pork Steaks 20-25 pkg

5. Sausages 15-20 pkg

6. Ribs10-15 pkg

7. Tenderloin 5-7 pkg

8. Ground Pork 25-30 pkg

A whole pork requires about 6 cubic feet of freezer space. A medium size deep freeze is recommended if you don't have a larger deep freezer. 

Please note that these are approximate numbers, and the actual yield may vary based on how the hog is processed and the preferences of the butcher.
